THE ARCHBISHOP CURLEY HIGH SCHOOL CHOIRS WELCOME YOU
WHO WE ARE
Archbishop Curley High School is a Roman Catholic college preparatory high school located in northeast Baltimore City, almost directly adjacent to I-95. The school was founded in 1961 and is owned by the Archdiocese of Baltimore and, since its founding, has been operated by the Conventual Franciscan Friars. The student body is comprised of approximately 550 male students in grades 9 through 12.

The Curley Choral Program was begun in 1996 with four students, experienced phenomenal growth and has for many years included well over 140 students. On the average, only 3-4% of students enrolled in the Curley Choral Program have had any prior choral experience before coming to Curley.

The Curley Choral Program presently includes four performing ensembles:
The Curley Choir which includes all choristers who are current students at the school.
The Curley Schola, a smaller ensemble which includes choristers who are invited to have the opportunity to perform more challenging music and to perform on a more frequent basis.
The Luminare Choir which includes selected alumni choristers and selected choristers who are current students.
The Curley Ringers, the school's resident handbell ensemble.

Kudos are indeed earned by the performing members of Curley's choral program. All acquitted themselves marvelously at Spring Concert 2025 that was held this past Friday evening. Special thanks are also extended to Ms. Allison Sullivan, who coordinated the efforts of parent volunteers who provided food, refreshment and water for our choristers and to Ms. Dawn Curry and Ms. Theresa Robinson who provided invaluable assistance in setting up and cleaning up after the boys.
As we come to the conclusion of the 2024-2025 Academic Year, all choristers and their parents/guardians should be aware of the need for scheduling and attending final juries. The jury SIgnUpGenius link that will be used for this purpose will soon be activated and I will make certain to announce this during rehearsals. As always, the link will be posted on each chorister's PlusPortals website.
